On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Acquire a deep understanding of accounting theoretical knowledge and principles as the assumptions and methodologies used in accounting practice.
Demonstrate an ability to interpret both the International and Australian Accounting Standards and Conceptual Frameworks, Business and Taxation Laws and to apply the standards in practice.
Demonstrate technical accounting knowledge and skills to generate creative, innovative solutions and strategies to complex problems in the business and global context with intellectual autonomy.
Display awareness of the effect on sustainability, society, and environment of judgements and accounting methods chosen for formulating solution strategies to economic problems.
Exhibit cognisance of the ethical responsibilities of organisations and ethical duties of accountants to implement ethical judgements and practices.
Communicate knowledge and insights of financial and non-financial information via various platforms to audiences of diverse proficiencies and expertise.
